Bombs over Baghdad

My friend Pul Rieckhoff will be delivering the Democratic Party’s response to President Bush’s weekly radio address this Saturday, May 1. Typically a Senator or Governor delivers this response, but Kerry’s team and the Democratic National Party have asked him to do it because Bush’s address will focus on the one-year anniversary of his “mission accomplished in Iraq” speech (Paul recently returned from his 13 10 month tour in Iraq).

If you are interested in hearing a fiercely intelligent and fiery young guy rebut the President’s message be sure to tune in. It’ll be aired on a lot of the ABC Radio stations, as well as other news stations - you have to check your local listings to find out where to hear it - but I think it is on Saturday morning.

It’ll also be re-aired on CSPAN radio online at 2:50PM on Saturday. Go to that page at 2:50PM, and click “listen”.

Update: I just posted the transcript of Paul’s response.

The law school is having a post finals party at a local club. The following is one of the lines from the invite…

End of the Year Party @ CLUB PRESSURE, May 12 — Fifty Cents, Puff Daddy, Britney Spears…

The student government here at the law school is in the process of asking the administration to keep the library open 24 hours during exams… I think they are going to say no now that they know about this guy.

I just got a new beta account of Google’s new email service. I likes. My issue isn’t with the service at all. Rather, I am having a hard time because I hate (repeat… hate) using more than one email address at a time. I always forget to check one and it falls into disuse. For now, my NYU account is my primary account. When I leave, my work account will be my primary account. I have never split business and personal emails along accounts (note - this may change when I work at a law firm).

Perhaps it is time. I am going to attempt to send personal emails from my gmail account and reserve my school account for class / school / professional communication. Let’s see how long that lasts. I wonder which one will die out?

It’s interesting to note that what I missed most during my absence was not writing, but rather , being unable to read all of your blogs. It was that kinda absence. I don’t know how it’ll work out getting back on the horse during finals… we shall see.

This semester is almost in the can. Well… nothing stands between me and the writing competition, moving apartments and 60 hour work weeks except 2 exams and a 15 page paper…

I am off to read everything you guys have written over the last month. I am looking forward to it.
