That’s A Damn Shame
May 4th, 2005 by michaelI was curious to find out what the former Mayor of Cleveland, Michael White, has been up to since he decided not to run for reelecton last time around. I figured he had taken a job at Jones Day, or Squires, Sanders & Dempsey or had landed at a large not for profit like the Cleveland Foundation. I googled him but couldn’t find any useful or timely information regarding his whereabouts.
I finally resorted to emailing my parents, figuring they might have read something in the local papers about his latest gig.

Do you mean the former Mayor of Cleveland? He
retired to a farm in Tuscawaras County and is
raising alpacas, I believe.

An Alpaca

I often dream of retiring somewhere to raise alpacas. They’re really quite friendly and sweet.

I aspire to raise alpacas. Gotta have somethin’ to fall back on if the law thing doesn’t work out.

between this and the picture up top of blue skies forever, i’m absolutely astounded by how these damn south american camelids keep popping up on my friends’ blogs.

Mike White wanted to be my brother-in-law so bad he could taste it. i think my sister dodged a bullet IMHO, especially if he really *DID* hit his wife.
Anyway,
My name is Christopher King. I know ignorance, bigotry, racism, sexism and just plain corporate and judicial hatred all too well.
My experiences in Columbus, Ohio as a Civil Rights lawyer and as a contracts manager working for Boston’s American Tower Corporation – a company fined $300,000.00 for overtime violations at my behest – are chronicled in a 15-minute movie on my website, soon to be developed in Hollywood.
