Housing over the BQE?

According to the New York Post, part of Mayor Bloomberg’s plan to create more space for housing in New York City could involve building on top of the BQE.

I live in one of the buildings behind the caption bubble.

    I’ve been saying for years that they should make this space into park land. How cool would it be to have a big green space along hicks? The area is full of families that would make use of it.

    Certainly sounds better than the high rises that I’m sure developers would dream up.
