Flickr Mobile Request

March 15th, 2007 by Mike

To the gals or guys on the mobile team at Flickr (http://m.flickr.com):

Can I get a next link and (I know I am pushing it) a previous link under the picture on the individual picture pages? The page with several pictures has a “more” button to navigate to the next page of pictures, but the individual page doesn’t have any way (as far as I can tell) of navigating to the next picture in the photo stream. Since our screens are so small, the images can only be enjoyed on the individual picture pages. It would be nice to be able to simply click to the next image from there.

Thanks for all you do. If I haven’t said it before, I love you.

Flickr Goodness

August 24th, 2006 by Mike

I am in the process of integrating a few thousand photographs from Flickr into this blog. You can view my photos by most recent, tag, and by photo sets. I am porting my photos over from one Flickr account to another so it may be several days before they are all available on the site.

Go ahead, check it out.

Street Art Maps

October 18th, 2005 by Mike

I did my own little remix of Flickr and Google Maps to create a site where people can view photographs of street art plotted on a map. The idea being that folks will (hopefully) be inspired to go see them in the wild.

I am going to use this post as a place where I can keep development notes. And those people who are using it can leave me bug reports and feature requests.

What I am working on

  • An uploader that will allow flickr users to click the map, add a description, and upload the photo to Flickr. No more copying and pasting latitude and longitude.
  • Interface improvements
  • Adding additional cities to the search feature
  • Adding keyword and artist based searches

I just got Flickred!

Flickr was kind enough to point attention to a few of my street art photos on their blog.

And I just found out that the DCist recently used one of my photos.
